Copyright and Permissions Policy

Authors must ensure they hold the necessary rights or permissions to reproduce any material (such as figures, tables, text excerpts, or images) not in the public domain or not originally created by them. Proper acknowledgment and permissions from the original copyright holder (usually the publisher) are mandatory for such content.

Permission is required for:

  • Reuse of your own works published elsewhere if you no longer retain copyright.
  • Substantial extracts or a series of works from other sources.
  • Tables, figures, charts, or artworks that are unaltered or only slightly modified.
  • Photographs or any copyrighted content owned by others.

Permission is not required for:

  • Reconstructed or redrawn tables and figures using published data, with proper citation (e.g., “Adapted from…”).
  • Short quotations that fall under fair use.
  • Graphs, charts, or artworks that are completely redrawn or significantly modified.

All articles in IJLLLC are published under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0), which allows users to:

  • Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format.
  • Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material for non-commercial purposes.

Conditions:

  • Attribution: Credit must be given to the original author(s) and source.
  • Non-Commercial: Material cannot be used for commercial purposes.
  • ShareAlike: Any derivative work must be distributed under the same license.
