Title: C-E TRANSLATION AND DUBBING OF CHINESE CLASSIC SONGS
Authors: Mao ZhishanChina
Abstract:

Song dubbing, as a small branch in many translation categories, is a study combining translation and musicology. However, song dubbing has not received great attention. With the rapid development of the Internet, cultural exchanges at home and abroad have become increasingly frequent. Based on the “Pentathlon Principle” of song translator Peter Low, this paper mainly studies the dubbing of Chinese revolutionary songs. Moreover, it analyzes several versions of some Chinese classic songs. Since singability and rhythm need to be analyzed with audio, it is difficult to be discussed in this article. To study the difficulties in the dubbing of revolutionary songs, it starts from the aspects of sense, rhyme and naturalness. In short, sense, rhyme, naturalness, singability and rhythm must be met at the same time in the song dubbing.
